Kyler Beckmann is originally from Stover, Missouri, and has been around fishing for most of his life. His dad got him started early, and Kyler won his first tournament in a kids’ competition when he was just 8 years old. Growing up, Kyler spent much of his fishing time on Lake of the Ozarks, where he learned the process of crappie and bass fishing. In 2018, he and his dad began taking tournament fishing seriously, and their efforts paid off quickly with a 3rd place finish in the Crappie Masters National Championship. Since then, Kyler has built a strong tournament background with numerous top finishes and continued involvement in competitive crappie fishing. Today, Kyler is a full-time fishing guide on Truman Lake and Lake of the Ozarks. He focuses mainly on crappie, but also offers white bass and hybrid trips when the seasonal bite lines up. He is fully licensed and insured, can accommodate multiple people in his boat, and can also work with other local guides to handle larger groups. Kyler’s guide trips are designed to make a day on the water simple and enjoyable. He provides the fishing equipment needed for the trip, and clients only need to bring a fishing license along with any food or drinks they want for the day. Kyler is experienced with Garmin, Humminbird, and Lowrance electronics and also offers trips in clients’ own boats to help them better understand and tune their electronics. As a Truman Lake Fishing Intel contributor, Kyler brings tournament experience, current guide insight, electronics knowledge, and a practical understanding of how crappie, white bass, and hybrids set up on Truman Lake and Lake of the Ozarks.
