Jordan Leer grew up on a farm southeast of Truman Lake and has been an avid angler since he was old enough to walk. Although he did not start fishing Truman heavily until his late teens, he quickly fell in love with the lake, starting below the dam before gradually working his way into owning a boat and learning the lake from end to end. In 2019, Jordan began taking guide trips on Truman after spending years learning the lake on his own and from other experienced local anglers. Today, he is on the water every week through Angler’s Edge Guide Service, guiding clients for catfish, hybrids, white bass, and crappie depending on the season and where the strongest bite is happening. Jordan is a licensed captain and fully insured, giving clients confidence that they are fishing with someone who takes the guide business seriously. His trips are built around helping people enjoy a full day on Truman Lake, with all fishing equipment provided. Clients mainly need to bring snacks, drinks, and a cooler for fish fillets after the trip. Jordan runs a 2025 SeaArk ProCat 240 powered by a 250 Suzuki. The 24-foot boat is 72 inches wide and built for serious fishing, giving clients a stable, comfortable platform whether they are chasing catfish, hybrids, white bass, or crappie. He is familiar with all arms of Truman Lake and is available to book trips year-round. Whether he is chasing catfish, following schools of hybrids and white bass, or putting together a crappie trip, Jordan brings steady time on the water, local knowledge, and a willingness to move with the bite.
